Find Your People is all about connecting you with others who share your interests. Whether you’re looking to join an existing group or want to spark a brand-new one, this is the place to start.
Check out the groups we’re currently gathering, and if you don’t see your favorite activity or hobby listed, let us know! With enough interest, we’ll create new groups and help bring like-minded people together.
Mommy & Me Group
Looking for a way to connect with other moms while your little one makes new friends too? The Mommy & Me Group is all about friendship, support, and fun—for both moms and kids. Share stories, swap tips, and enjoy playtime together in a relaxed, welcoming space. Don’t forget to let us know your child’s age when you sign up so we can plan activities that fit!

The BookClub
The BookClub is an independent bookstore and community gathering space coming soon to Fort Payne, Alabama. Currently popping up in Alice Circle, The BookClub is all about connection—through stories, shared curiosity, and meaningful conversations. Visitors can shop a thoughtful selection of books, join in on book club gatherings, and follow along as this beloved pop-up works toward opening its very own permanent home in Fort Payne.
The Kiwanis Club
Fort Payne Kiwanis Club is a community of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in Fort Payne and beyond. Through hands-on service projects, local fundraisers, and youth leadership programs, Kiwanis members work together to build stronger communities and brighter futures. Their mission reflects the Kiwanis motto: “Serving the children of the world.”
The Lions Club
Fort Payne Lions Club is part of the world’s largest service organization, dedicated to improving lives through community service and global outreach. The Fort Payne chapter supports a variety of local initiatives—from providing vision screenings and eyeglasses to helping families in need and sponsoring youth programs. Members share a passion for making a positive difference right here at home while living out the Lions’ motto: “We Serve.”
The Northeast Alabama Pride Collective
🏳️🌈 The Northeast Alabama Pride Collective welcomes members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies in the Scottsboro and Jackson County area! This group was created to build connection, friendship, and belonging among local community members — because everyone deserves a place to feel at home. Whether you’re interested in planning dinners, picnics, outings, or simply meeting new friends, this is a welcoming space to celebrate community and support one another.
The Optimist Club
Fort Payne Optimist Club is dedicated to bringing out the best in youth, the community, and each other. Through local service projects, youth programs, and community events, members work to inspire optimism and positive change. Their mission reflects the Optimist creed—to think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best for Fort Payne’s future.
Progressive Women's Action Coalition
The Progressive Women’s Action Coalition is a women-led organization dedicated to providing aid, education, and advocacy throughout rural northeast Alabama. From supporting local families in need to connecting individuals with vital resources in times of crisis, the PWAC works to make a lasting difference in the community. Follow their Facebook page for updates, meeting details, and ways to get involved!
The Rhododendron Garden Club
The Rhododendron Garden Club meets each month on the second Tuesday. They are currently meeting in the Moon Lake Library and gather at 10 a.m. Please join us for connection and conviviality. The club is a member of the National Garden Club, Deep South, Garden Club of AL, District II, and NE AL Federation of Garden Clubs.
The Rotary Club
Fort Payne Rotary Club brings together local leaders, professionals, and community members who are committed to making a difference—both locally and globally. Through service projects, scholarships, and partnerships, Rotary members work to promote goodwill, support education, and strengthen the community. Guided by the Rotary motto: “Service Above Self,” the Fort Payne Rotary Club continues to inspire positive change.
